Uniform Requirements

All students (K-3) must be in uniform every day. There may be a few out-of-uniform days which will be announced during the school year. Dress code for such days is included. If there is a time when the prescribed uniform cannot be worn, a note from the parent/guardian must inform the principal. Students who are out of uniform without an excuse will be sent to the office, and the parent will be called to bring the proper clothing. 
 

Uniform Guidelines 

• All students’ hair should be clean, conservatively styled, neatly trimmed, and well-groomed. Faddish or extreme hairstyles, including unnatural colors, are not appropriate for school. 
• Boys' hair should not extend below the eyebrows on the forehead, below the top of the collar of the uniform shirt, or below the middle of the ear when it is combed down. Hair should not be teased out, matted, or put in any other extreme fashion.
• The uniform should be clean and pressed with all buttons attached and the hem intact. Shirttails must be tucked in. Girls’ skirts and jumpers should be knee-length. Students who repeatedly violate the uniform policy will be denied participation in the next out-of-uniform day.

• St. Michael Catholic School Catholic School reserves the right to make proper determinations in this area and to require corrective action when deemed necessary by school authorities. 

Out-of-Uniform Guidelines 

Students may wear approved St. Michael Catholic School Uniforms and approved tennis shoes. 

Students may not wear: 
Good Rule: If you think you shouldn’t wear it, don’t! Just wear your school uniform. All uniform regulations and guidelines are subject to the discretion of the Principal.
