On Thursday, September 29, our school community enjoyed a festive day of activities surrounding our patron saint, St. Michael, and the other archangels.
Third graders lectored at the 8:30 AM Mass and brought up medals to be blessed and then given to students. Our PreK-3's joined us for this Mass as they learn more and more about Mass through their time in the atrium.
Students in our Early Learning Center made St. Michael hand puppets and went on a scavenger hunt around the facilities to find St. Michael.
In the afternoon, elementary students rotated stations:
Station 1: Fr. Farmer and Fr. Peyton visited with students, answering questions about angels and St. Michael. Older students completed a writing activity about what they discussed.
Station 2: Students learned the St. Michael Chaplet and how we can always pray for protection.
Station 3: Students made angel wings with a Bible verse about St. Michael on them and a shield to remoind them of St. Michael's protection.
This was an incredibly blessed day that we look forward to celebrating year after year! Watch a recap of our day here.
