Alabama taxpayers, corporations, and businesses can donate 100% of their Alabama state income tax to support children in our state. Supporting this program costs businesses no money out of pocket and provides thousands of students around Alabama, including some of our own here at SMCS, with the ability to find an education that works best for their needs. Help families choose a Catholic education for their children.
Through the Alabama Accountability Act, you can support the AOSF at no expense, because these are dollars you are already required to pay in Alabama State Taxes. Let's say you have $1,000 taken out of your paycheck last year in Alabama Income Tax. The state allows you isntead to send that $1,000 directly to the scholarship program and gives you credit as if you paid your taxes normally to the state. Siply put, through this program, you can redirect the money you would normally pay in taxes to Catholic school students in need of financial assistance.
It's truly that simple and costs you no money out of pocket.
